AfDB backs sector reform

The African Development Bank (AfDB) has approved a $159m loan to finance the Economic and Power Sector Reform Programme (EPSERP). The loan is the AfDB’s first budget support operation for Nigeria, and will be implemented over a two-year period with the aim of developing the country’s non-oil sector and increasing electrification.
