A UK court has dismissed a claim for €15m ($18.4m) by a member of the Abu Dhabi royal family after finding that his representatives had forced a business partner to agree to make payments under duress. The case between Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Saeed Bin Shakhbut Al-Nahyan and Greek businessman Ioannis Kent was centred around plans for a string of luxury hotels in Greece under the Aquis brand. Sheikh Tahnoun agreed to invest in the business in 2008, providing €31.1m over the course of several years and ultimately controlling 70% of the shares.
