UAE: MBR launches Dubai Future District

Federal Vice President and prime minister and Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum (MBR) has continued his energetic efforts to reshape the local economy by announcing plans to set up a new area of the city, to be called Dubai Future District, backed by a Dh1bn ($272m) fund to support new economy companies. The new zone will be linked via a bridge to the existing Dubai International Financial Centre and nearby sites such as the Dubai World Trade Centre and Emirates Towers.
