UAE: Al Maktoum airport to be unveiled in November

Dubai World Central’s (DWC) Al Maktoum International airport, the centerpiece of the ‘aerotroplis’ free zone cluster, will be unveiled at Dubai Airshow on 17 November, following a soft opening from 27 October, when budget airlines Nasair and Wizz Air begin commercial passenger flights to Saudi Arabia and Eastern Europe. Operational for cargo flights since June 2010, DWC airport will not reach full capacity until at least 2017.
