Saudi Oger, the kingdom’s second biggest construction firm behind the Saudi Binladin Group, remains the focus of intense speculation following its loss of a major project in 2012 and reports of ongoing lay-offs. Privately owned by Lebanon’s powerful Hariri family, Saudi Oger (Oger) has long been a force to be reckoned with; GSNs from the late 1970s document its early successes, and the decades since have often been kind. But in the past two years, its fortunes appear to have turned.
