Qatar: Emir’s brother accused of murder plot

Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al-Thani, a half-brother of Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad, is facing accusations in a United States federal court that he asked an employee to murder two people he viewed as a threat to his reputation and security. The accusation was made in a case filed by Matthew Pittard and Matthew Allende at the Middle District court of Florida in July. Allende, a paramedic, has complained of unfair working conditions and said he fled fearing for his life.
