Nigeria: Bidders shortlisted for NIPPs

Following the submission of bids for the privatisation of ten National Integrated Power Projects (NIPPs) in July, 82 companies have been shortlisted as prequalified bidders by the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (AE 259/10). Transnational Corporation of Nigeria, owned by Tony Elumelu’s Heirs Holdings, bid in consortium with the US’ GE for all ten NIPPs, while Aliko Dangote’s Dangote Industries partnered Funso Lawal’s Sogenal for Alaoji and Benin, and India’s Essar Group for Calabar.
