The Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) is seeking expressions of interest (EoIs) from consultants to undertake the design and supervision of the redevelopment of the Olkaria I geothermal power project. The project will increase the capacity of the smaller of the two existing facilities from 45MW to 50.7MW through the refurbishment or replacement of key equipment. KenGen and the government are seeking donor funding. EoIs are due by 25 May, with work to begin around July. The project is expected to last for 35 months.
