Iraq: Licensing round goes ahead

The Ministry of Oil (MoO) was due to auction exploration and development contracts on 11 new blocks on 26 April, as GSN went to press. The blocks include onshore border areas with Iran and Kuwait and some offshore acreage. According to MoO, 14 firms have expressed interest in the auction, which has been delayed a number of times since being announced last November.
