Changes at Qatar Investment Authority

On 2 July, Emir Sheikh Tamim issued two decrees which confirmed expectations Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Al-Thani (HBJ) would no longer have a top role at the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA). Emiri decision No. 75 of 2013 appointed Ahmed Mohamed Al-Sayed chief executive officer of QIA. Al-Sayed has been the managing director of Qatar Holding, and was previously secretary to the board of QIA.
