Sheikh Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa, thought to be a nephew of prime minister Sheikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa, is being pursued in the UK courts for $42.5m for meetings set up with Bollywood movie stars. An attempt to have the trial moved to Bahrain was rejected by the High Court in May, meaning the case should now go ahead. The claimants, Egyptian national Ahmed Adel Abdallah Ahmed and his company CBSC Events and Exhibition and Conference Organizers, are seeking payment of fees under an agreement made in late 2015/early 2016.
