Bahrain: Nasser Bin Hamad cancels horse race

Issue 1100 - 03 Apr 2020 | 1 minute read

Sheikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa cancelled the horse endurance race which carries his name due to the coronavirus crisis. The race was due to take place on 27 March, but four days earlier the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation – of which Brigadier General Nasser is honorary president – announced it would not go ahead. The decision brought an early end to the 2019-20 endurance season. Prize money has been handed to all stables that participated in the season up to that point.
