BAHRAIN: Crown Prince Salman’s meetings


Crown prince and first deputy prime minister Salman Bin Abdelaziz met British minister for the Middle East Alistair Burt on 30 June. Burt, who was in Manama to attend a European Union-Gulf Co-operation Council foreign ministers’ meeting, issued a statement following the meeting that reaffirmed Britain’s support for Bahrain, but noted that more reform was needed, “particularly to improve the human rights situation and on justice reform”.
