Abdelaziz Bin Saud: Crown prince in waiting?

The recent short tour undertaken by Prince Abdelaziz Bin Saud Bin Naif Al-Saud, which took the interior minister to the UAE and Oman, may have had a rationale beyond the bilateral discussions originally described. The prince is again being touted in Riyadh as a contender for the position of heir apparent once Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman (MBS), takes over from his father King Salman – the date of which is a source of constant speculation.
