UAE: Tatarstan president visits MBZ

Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan (MBZ) had a visit from the president of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, on 23 February. MBZ said the UAE was “looking forward to broader co-operation with the Republic of Tatarstan”. Minnikhanov was in the UAE for IDEX 2015, the international defence exhibition in Abu Dhabi; he was also in the UAE last November, to see the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (GSN 982/10), which MBZ also attended. In June, minister of economy Sultan Bin Saeed Al-Mansouri went to Kazan, Tatarstan’s capital, with a large delegation, and opened the first UAE-Tatarstan Investment Forum.
