Sultan Qaboos: Health, thanks for hostage release

Foreign minister Yousef Bin Alawi told Saudi Arabia’s Okaz newspaper, in an interview published on 13 October, that Sultan Qaboos was in “good health” and was “well”. The minister told the paper the succession was “arranged in a clear way” and that “people are more worried outside the country than inside”. Omani officials very occasionally comment on Qaboos’s health, as in the example of health minister Dr Almed Al-Saidi in July.
