Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage president Prince Sultan Bin Salman has been elected vice-president of the UN World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) Middle East. He was in Colombia in mid-September to head the Saudi delegation to the UNWTO general assembly. A few days later, he visited the Machu Picchu citadel in Peru and had a meeting with Peruvian President Ollanta Humala. There have long been rumours that Prince Sultan would like a more senior position; his name has been mentioned as a possible Riyadh governor.
