South Africa: REIPPP expedited bid round delayed until 11 November

The Independent Power Producer (IPP) Office has moved the deadline for bids in its 1,800MW expedited renewable energy IPP procurement (REIPPP) programme bid round from 1 October to 11 November. The change was included in briefing note 36, released on 28 September, which stated that the Department of Energy (DoE) “has decided to postpone the bid submission date for the expedited bid submission phase, in order to accommodate delays that have been experienced by some persons intending to submit bid responses in obtaining approvals required for their bid responses”.
