Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani flew to Jeddah on 13 October for a meeting with King Abdullah Bin Abdelaziz of Saudi Arabia. It was a brief visit, but nonetheless a significant one, given the difficult relations between the two countries in recent months. Emir Tamim made an unexpected trip to see the king in Jeddah in July, and there has been high-level interaction since, including a visit to Doha by the king’s son Prince Miteb Bin Abdullah, who was at King Abdelaziz International Airport to greet Tamim on his October visit.
