| 1 minute read
Former intelligence chief Prince Turki Al-Faisal was in London on 18 March, for an event at think tank Chatham House. Asked about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s election win, he said he did not expect things to change, despite Netanyahu’s explicit rejection of a future Palestinian state in the last days of the campaign. “Ever since he has been prime minister he has resisted the idea of a Palestinian state coming into being… it is not more dangerous because his activities before were very dangerous,” he said. On Iran, he said the US and Iran were impatient for a nuclear deal.
