Saudi Arabia: Mohammed Bin Nayef meetings

Deputy Crown Prince and interior minister Mohammed Bin Nayef Bin Abdelaziz Al-Saud (MBN) had a substantial meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on 6 April, hours before Erdogan left for an official visit to Iran. According to the Turkish press, MBN’s visit was not announced ahead of time on Erdogan’s schedule; the Saudi delegation arrived on MBN’s private plane at around 6pm, and the meeting between them lasted around 1hr 40mins. Erdogan flew to Iran the next day, amid deep differences over the war in Yemen.
