Deputy Crown Prince and defence minister Mohammed Bin Salman (MBS) played a key tole in the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec)’s unexpected Algiers deal on controlling crude exports, The Wall Street Journal reported. MBS sent petroleum minister Khalid Al-Falih to Algiers with a mission: to make a deal with Iran without compromising the kingdom’s ability to fight for market share or giving too much ground to its regional rival.
