Khaled Bin Alwaleed, the son of Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, has been appointed chairman of the board of trustees of the Saudi Green Building Forum, an initiative introduced under the late King Abdullah which aims to help Saudi Arabia develop regulations that promote environmentally friendly buildings. The prince – who describes himself on Twitter as a “healthy living advocate, tech fanatic (aka geek), vegan, and animal lover” – was born in California in 1978, and has interests in more than 20 companies.
