This much we know about regional diplomacy. Led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) states will remain highly antagonistic towards Iran (with the notable exception of Oman and possibly Dubai, when it suits and Abu Dhabi allows). GCC diplomats will continue to be guided by younger generation leaders who are singularly focused on achieving victory in Yemen, overcoming any Muslim Brotherhood (MB) challenge (most notably Abu Dhabi) and achieving a favourable outcome in Syria.
