Issue 1018 - 01 Jul 2016 | 1 minute read

Qatar signed a contract on 25 June to buy PAC Super Mushshak training aircraft from Pakistan. The official Qatar News Agency did not specify how many aircraft were bought or the cost, but defence specialist IHS Jane’s cited a Ministry of Defence official who said ten aircraft were involved. The deal was signed for Qatar by Al-Zaeem Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah Air College commander Brigadier Salem Hamad Al-Nabet, and by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) deputy chairman Air Vice Marshal Arshad Malik. The aircraft will be used to train pilots at Al-Attiyah Air College.
