Qatar: QF employees jailed

Two senior Qatar Foundation (QF) employees have been found guilty of soliciting bribes and sentenced to five years in jail. Qatari press reported on 30 June that the director of the financial affairs department, Qatari national Faisal Al-Hajiri, and the department’s director of payments and revenue, Indian expatriate Narayan Manugh, had been found guilty of requesting a pay-off from insurance company AXA, in return for renewing its contract.
