Qatar: Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman’s trips

Qatar’s new foreign minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani has been travelling in his first month in office. On 23 February, he was in Istanbul to attend the High-Level Partnership Forum on Somalia. Sheikh Mohammed praised Somali prime minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke for his efforts in countering terrorism and creating a parliament with many female MPs. While in Istanbul the minister had a meeting with Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is a regular visitor to Qatar.
