The Joaan Bin Jassim Joint Command and Staff College in Doha is to shift from English to Arabic as its main teaching language, following the end of a partnership with the Defence Studies Department of King’s College London (KCL). It is unclear who will teach students in the future, as the KCL staff have been made redundant. KCL’s relationship with the college came as a result of a defence co-operation agreement between Qatar and the UK’s Ministry of Defence in 2014.
