Prince Nasser completes Ironman

The king’s son Prince Nasser Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, who is president of the Bahrain Olympic Committee and chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS), competed in the inaugural Budapest Ironman 70.3 competition on 23 August, coming 101st out of 1,519 athletes, and eighth in his age group (25 to 29-year-olds). Prince Nasser, who is 27, completed the triathlon in 4:30:38, the best-performing athlete out of a 21-strong Bahraini team. Also competing was his 25-year-old brother, Khalid Bin Hamad, who is first deputy chairman of the SCYS and president of the Bahrain Athletics Association.
