OMVG issues tenders for Sambangalou-Kaléta connection

The Gambia River Basin Development Organisation (OMVG) is seeking expressions of interest from consultants to act as project consultant and owner’s engineer for a power project involving development of the Sambangalou and Kaléta dams and a transmission line connecting the grids of the OMVG member states. The 240MW Kaléta dam is being built by being built by China International Water & Electric Corporation on the Konkouré River in Guinea and is due for completion by year-end. The 128MW Sambangalou dam is planned at a site on the Gambia River 22km from Kédougou.
