Nigeria: AFD seeks consultant for distribution study

The Agence Française de Développement is seeking expressions of interest from consultants to undertake a feasibility study and design a financing scheme for grid rehabilitation and loss reduction for the Nigerian power distribution sector. The work will involve assessing the market potential and designing a financing scheme through the local banking system, focused on the needs of three or four distribution companies. The consultant will also assess technical assistance needs and design a capacity-building programme. Bids are due by 15 June. Work is expected to start in July and take up to three months.
