Men jailed for supporting terrorist groups

Following its promise to clamp down on supporters of groups designated as terrorist, Saudi Arabia has jailed 28 men for offences including supporting men going to fight in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan, and sending material support to Islamic militants. According to news reports, a group of 13 men were sentenced on 19 March to between three and 14 years in prison for owning material that glorified Al-Qaeda, money laundering and involvement in weapons training in militant camps. Nine of those sentenced were Saudi citizens, one Egyptian, one Syrian and two Jordanian.
