Kuwait: US officer jailed for corruption

A court in San Antonio, Texas, has sentenced US Lieutenant Colonel Mark Moss to three years in prison for accepting “gratuities” from Kuwaiti businesses while he was a unit commander at Camp Arifjan, south of Kuwait City. Prosecuting attorney Richard Durbin said that “Moss corrupted the military procurement process for personal gain… [he] used his position to line his pockets with a quarter million dollars”.
