Kuwait, Saudi Arabia agree Khafji restart

Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have agreed to resume oil production at the jointly operated Khafji field, acting oil minister Anas al-Saleh told reporters in the Kuwaiti parliament on 29 March. He gave neither a date for the restart nor planned production figures for the field, which ceased operations in October 2014, officially for environmental reasons (GSN 1,009/4). There were no indications that the other joint oil field, Wafra, would resume.
