Khalid Al-Faisal: Speech

Governor of Mecca and adviser to the king Prince Khalid Al-Faisal delivered a speech on King Salman’s behalf on 22 February, at the opening ceremony of the International Conference on Islam and Counterterrorism organised in Mecca by the Muslim World League. The speech stressed Saudi efforts to combat terrorism, and said that terrorists acting in Islam’s name gave “Islam’s enemies a chance to stab our religion from behind”. Also speaking at the opening session were the sheikh of Al-Azhar Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, Saudi Arabia’s general mufti Sheikh Abdelaziz Bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh and Muslim World League secretary-general Abdullah Bin Abdelmohsen Al-Turki
