Africa Oil Corporation has announced a higher reserves estimate for the South Lokichar Basin following an assessment by DeGolyer and MacNaughton Canada. Estimated recoverable resources have increased by 150m bbls or 24% to 766m bbls of oil. “The level of these resources gives us confidence that we will exceed the threshold required for development and we continue to push forward for development sanction during 2017,” said president and chief executive Keith Hill.
