Iraqi Kurdistan’s Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani has made his first official visit to the UK. On 19 May, he met foreign secretary William Hague for talks which the foreign office said touched on bilateral relations and human rights issues. “We also discussed the recent elections in Iraq, and the next steps towards the formation of a new federal government.
