Genel Energy: Hayward move

Former BP chief executive Tony Hayward has been appointed Genel Energy chairman, following the 12 July resignation of Rodney Chase. Murat Ozgül, previously president, Turkey and Kurdistan Region of Iraq, has become chief executive and been appointed to the board. Hayward, who was previously Genel’s chief executive, will oversee the strategy of the company and the effective running of the board, with Ozgül focusing on day-to-day management.
