Egypt: Rockhopper buys Beach assets

AIM-listed Rockhopper Exploration has revived its deal to acquire Beach Energy’s non-operated Egypt assets. Rockhopper announced in August 2015 that it had agreed terms with Adelaide-based Beach, but one of the partners on the Abu Sennan concession exercised a pre-emption right and it was not possible to complete the acquisition on the original terms. That deal apparently fell through, as Rockhopper is now acquiring Beach’s Abu Sennan stake.
