Crown Prince Salman Bin Abdelaziz had a visit on 26 October from Afghanistan’s new president, Ashraf Ghani, who was making his first foreign visit since being sworn in in September. Ghani performed an Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, and held talks with the crown prince at his palace in Riyadh, which – according to state news agency SPA – “stressed the deep relations” between the two countries. Also present at the meeting were foreign minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal, deputy crown prince Miqrin Bin Abdelaziz, intelligence chief Prince Khalid Bin Bandar, National Guard minister Prince Miteb Bin Abdullah, and Riyadh governor Prince Turki Bin Abdullah.
