Tender
Issue 283
- 08 Aug 2014
| 1 minute read
The Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development is seeking expressions of interest from companies to carry out technical studies for the building of an overflow channel downstream from the Lagdo dam and a bridge over the Benoue River, and to repair the crest of the dam. Heavy rainfall in 2012 led to the uncontrolled release of water from the dam in northern Cameroon, killing at least 49 people in Nigeria and displacing tens of thousands on both sides of the border.
