| 1 minute read
State news agency SPA noted on 16 March that Prince Ahmed Bin Abdelaziz Al-Saud had returned to Riyadh the previous day “from abroad”, though it did not say where he had been. Prince Ahmed, who was certainly in Riyadh during the late King Abdullah’s illness and for his funeral, is the youngest of the Sudairi seven, and has at times been talked about as a future leader, although the appointment of Mohammed Bin Nayef (MBN) as deputy crown prince would seem to have ended any such speculation.
