Bahrain: Anniversary of uprising

Opposition supporters staged protests on 14 February to mark the fourth anniversary of the 2011 uprising. According to the main opposition party Al-Wefaq, there were dozens of demonstrations, and a number of clashes with security forces, though the scale of such protests remains tiny compared to the outpouring four years ago. On 15 February, an appeals court upheld a six-month sentence against former Al-Wefaq MP Jameel Kadhim, who was punished for tweets he made about election financing.
